We have witnessed the many technological breakthroughs that mankind have achieved over the past decades. We all enjoy the front row and the so-called back stage passes to these easily accessible advances. However, despite all this technology, we have shifted our focus to the old ways of opting for a natural and healthier way of life.
We all have different reasons for this shift in focus. Some just decided on them. Others are growing more concerned about the alarmingly increasing rate of cancer cases and other diseases. To some it is all related to global warming. Whatever the individual reason, the bottom line is to achieve a healthier lifestyle. As many people switched to exercise and a balanced diet to lose weight, there are as many who have switched to natural products for skin and facial care. The main goal is to avoid the use of products that contain chemicals and toxins that can cause damage to our skin and even compromise our health, in one way or another.
The skin is the largest organ of the body, which purpose is more than just a covering. It protects the body’s internal organs from external elements and maintains the body’s core temperature. With all these major responsibilities the body’s largest organ have, it is only proper that we care for our skin the right way.

Using natural skin care products have many benefits. These are some of the benefits that we can get from going natural:
1- General Health – As mentioned above, there are many skin care products that contain harmful chemicals and toxins. Some of them are even speculated to have caused cancer, hormone imbalance, joint pains, severe headaches and migraines, and a world of other ailments and maladies. Some are even said to cause a change in a person’s behavioral pattern. There have been reported cases that these products cause depression to a user. In addition, these products that we buy specifically to treat our skin are ironically the very products that cause allergies, breakouts and other skin problems.
2- Social Responsibility – As we grow more concerned about the effects of synthetic skin care products on our bodies, we also must be concerned with the effects of these said products in our environment. The escalating global warming issue demands each of us that inhabit the earth to take action and do whatever means we can to help save the planet. Now, it is easy to conclude that the many years we have used spray nets and other styling products have significantly affected the environment and contributed to this growing issue. Natural skin care products, particularly those that are organic, are much friendlier to the environment. The production and the use of synthetic skin care products just harm the earth.
3- Safer – Many men and women who use skin care products have children in their households. How many times have we heard of children getting intoxicated with such products because they are poorly stored or simply because they are kids? Children will always be mischievous. However, there are natural skin care products that are safer to keep our homes. Though these natural products still contain toxic chemicals, they are generally fewer in case a child ingests them. Of course, the best way to avoid such cases is to keep the products out of reach of children.
When caring for our skin, we should also keep in mind those that can actually help us and not put our health in danger in the long run. Aside from that, we must look at the bigger picture. Avoiding products that are made up harmful chemicals and preservatives that pollute the environment is a great way to help solve the climate change problem. With the existence of these natural skin care products, such as mineral or organic makeup that are now popularly used by thousands of women all over the world, we can now put in all our efforts to look beautiful without the guilt of compromising the safety of the children in the house as well as the environment.

Are there any all natural skin care products that work similarly to Differin?
I’m looking for an all natural (no chemicals, parabens, preservatives) acne product that works the same /similarly to Differn. I’m ont Differin right now and it works okay but I’m looking to switch to all natural products.

Differin is going to be stronger than any natural product you try so I advise you not to switch. Prescription products tend to be the best treatment for acne. You will get better results with prescription strength products. if its not working well..tell yiour dermatologist and he/she will put you ona different prescription product. and teh only natural product taht i heard of for acne is Boscia.

But I REALLY REALLY advise against switching from a prescribed regimen. Prescription products are the strongest products out there.

Aveeno, I love it and I use it everyday. All natural and all natural stuff works better for me than anything. After I used it I started to use all natural products.

**I researched/experimented for a long time and found this safe, natural cure was a truly effective way to quickly and permanently rid face of pimples, black and white heads, etc. It also reduces large pores and and completely gets rid of scars. See the happy answer from "Jasmin" below ##
Vigorous massage using essential oils works wonders – sweet almond, grape seed and, particularly rosewood, have been used by skin specialists to treat and cure acne. They do not clog, and they actually diminish skin’s over production of oil. Rosewood should be diluted with grapeseed

So as not to pull/stretch skin, first tighten by opening mouth 3/4" and pull lips firrmly back against teeth. Do a forward and back massage – not circular – using tips and front of fingers and sometimes palms – depending where on face you apply.
