I have moderate acne on my face. I just started using the Clinique 3-Step set. I tend to switch products very frequently. I think after a week or so if something isn’t working then I switch to something else. My doctor said that’s what a lot of people do but you need to give it at least 3 months. I have read a lot of reviews that Clinique wasn’t the best to use. I have tried Neutrogena Anti-Blemish Anti-Wrinkle in the past and it was great! but I did notice that it didn’t say it was Oil-Free and it did make my forehead oily.

Is there a skin care regimen you would recommend. Maybe the Neutrogena with some kind of alcohol-free tonor and should I use moisturizer if I have oily skin??

I also use BHA (beta hydroxy acid) at night on my face, and I sometimes will use AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) in the morning. I do notice that my face has been very smooth lately but I still have pimples.

I’m 26, workout, stay out of the sun, drink water, and get enough sleep. I’m still looking for some good skin care products. I’ve used Olay (hated it–made me breakout like crazy), Anne Borling (can’t tell if it works, but sure is expensive), and origins. I’m looking for something that will keep my skin looking great, and that will help with the undereye and forehead wrinkles I can see developing.
Essentially, I want a night cream, an eye cream (anti-wrinkle and dark undereye circles removing would be awesome) and a serum. I’m not too price-sensitive, but I’m not willing to pay more than $75 per product. Consumer reports gave their verdict, but I’ve never heard of any of the brands. My mom swears by Murad.

Any suggestions? I realize it’s a relative topic, one product may not work great for two people. But I need advise.

I swear by La Roche Posay! Their skincare products are well-priced and honestly worked wonders for the appearance of my skin. I know that dermatologists frequently recommend their lines (both my sister and aunt were told to use it).

I use the Effaclar line for oily/acne prone skin, but they have lines for dry skin, sensitive skin, wrinkles, etc. as well. My skin is always glowing and smooth now, and I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten (which is new for me as I always broke out before).

One of my fave products is the physiological ultra-fine scrub that targets blackheads. I used to have the same problem with my nose/cheeks, but I use the scrub every morning and now my blackheads have cleared up substantially.

If you wash twice a day and use the line religiously, I swear it will change your skin so much.

The best cleanser is cetephil. It is somewhere between 12-15$ but it works reaalyy good.

Some of MyChelle Dermaceuticals’ products are expensive like the Supreme Polypeptide Cream (in either scented or unscented) which is $53 for a small bottle but they work to fight off wrinkles on my forehead that I am too young to have and that is what matters to me. I can’t afford Botox and I know now how not to make those facial expressions that help to cause those unflattering lines on the forehead.
Hyperpigmentation is discoloration caused by the sun and from aging which prevents you from having that flawless porcelain skin. I am only in my thirties so I am doing all that I can to look young.

I am starting my own line of skin care products that are just as good as the expensive brands, only cheaper… such as : anti-wrinkle/anti aging creams, vitamin c-serums (that actually work and are cheap!) moisturizers, face and body washes and scrubs, and eventually hair care.

I have invest soooo much time and money for the equipment and and supplies and months and months for the product testing… I really want to make this work!
I need help coming up with a catchy name that describes what it’s all about. I am at a total loss here.. You only get one chance to come up with something cool.
Here’s some info:

*** I use the exact same quality and amount of active ingredients as the expensive manufactures. Some of my products even have more (the ones that allowed me to turn it up a notch without causing skin irritation)

***I try to make them as organic as possible (some things like the vitamin c-serums need certain additives to keep them from going bad, most home made vitamin c serums you buy from ebay and etsy don’t have these additives and go bad after only 24 hours. This is one of my key advantages over the others

*** My products will be affordable for ANY budget. I’m not so much out to make a huge profit. I’m more concerned about making sure MY costs are covered (you are mainly paying what I pay for the products) This is something I enjoy doing and want people to be able to afford these products and be 100% happy with the results.

*** I’d like to have "diva or divas" as part of the name… but don’t know how to describe (in one word) all the other information. Like… what word describes "affordable" "organic" or "natural" and "just as good as the most expensive products on the market"

"Di-Vero" It has that diva feel, but vero actually means "truth" in Latin. Di just means of. Consequently, you could also do something like "Di-Vilis" (of cheap), "Di-Veris" (of spring)
